The Golden Valley Orchestra (GVO) was established as a reading orchestra in the late 1970's at Golden Valley Lutheran College. Today the GVO is one of Minnesota's oldest community orchestras. Made up of amateur and semi-professional musicians, the GVO presents 4 to 6 concerts per year, including community outreach and non-public performances at care facilities.
Come help the orchestra celebrate its 37th season. This year the GVO will present 7 concerts including the Annual Teddy Bear Concert and Young Artists Concert. Both classical and popular works will be performed at area churches and/or community center. Tickets may be purchase online or prior to each concert.
Did you know your contribution not only helps the GVO bridge the gap between area youth orchestras and professional (full-time) orchestra, but also helps us fulfill our mission? We strive to provide community entertainment at a reasonable cost, deliver continuing musical education and offer area musicians an outlet to perform music as an avocation. DONATE NOW
